CONSTRUCTION:
Hull and deck constructed with Vacuum Infusion of Vinyl ester
resin, foam and Soric GRP sandwich with unidirectional and biaxial
laminates
Hull is reinforced with Infused GRP stringers in the keel and bow
sections
Hull and deck are moulded in single tone off-white,
Deck with high traction non-skid moulded
Carbon fibre beams laminated on keel box and glued to the deck to
support mast compression and keel hydraulic ram
Two transoms hung balanced rudders, built of GRP foam sandwich,
Red chainplates bolted to the main structural bulkhead
Bolts, screws and fittings are all made of stainless marine grade
stainless steel
Faired underwater areas, ready for sanding, epoxy primer and
antifouling application
SWINGING KEEL SYSTEM:
Swinging keel with elephant leg lead bulb, main steel structural
element and epoxy GRP enclosure
Laminated areas of the keel are pre-painted with epoxy primer for
easier antifouling treatment
Manually operated hydraulic pump with stainless steel hydraulic ram
built in the carbon fibre mast support
